How to Set Up Marinios IPTV on Mac — Step-by-Step Guide

Quick answer

On a Mac, install IPTVX from the Mac App Store or VLC/Kodi from their official websites, then sign in with your Marinios IPTV Xtream Codes details or open your M3U link.

MacBooks and iMacs make good secondary screens for live sports and on-demand viewing. Apple Silicon Macs can also run some iPad apps from the App Store.

What you need before you start

  • A Mac running a recent version of macOS.
  • Your activation details.

Supported login methods on Mac: Xtream Codes API, M3U playlist URL. What's the difference?

Recommended player apps for Mac

  • IPTVX

Native Apple app with a full guide.

  • VLC

    Free M3U playback.

  • Kodi

    Media centre with IPTV add-on.

Install a player

Steps

  1. For IPTVX: open the Mac App Store, search IPTVX, and select Get.

  2. For VLC: download it from videolan.org, open the .dmg file, and drag VLC to Applications.

  3. Open the player. If macOS asks for confirmation, choose Open.

Sign in and load your Marinios IPTV playlist

Use the details from your activation email. Copy and paste where you can, and keep these details private.

Sign in with Xtream Codes API in IPTVX

  1. Open IPTVX and choose "Add user", "Add playlist" or "Login with Xtream Codes API" (wording varies by version).

  2. Enter any name you like, for example Marinios.

  3. Enter the username, password and server URL exactly as they appear in your activation email, including http:// or https:// and any port number.

  4. Select Add or Login and wait while live channels, movies and series load. The first load can take a minute or two on slower devices.

Load an M3U playlist URL in VLC or Kodi

  1. In VLC or Kodi, choose the option to add a playlist from a URL (sometimes called "M3U URL" or "Load playlist from URL").

  2. Paste the full M3U link from your activation email. Avoid typing it by hand where you can, because a single wrong character breaks the link.

  3. If the app asks for an EPG or XMLTV URL, paste the EPG link from your activation email.

  4. Save and let the playlist download. Large playlists can take longer to load on older devices.

Set up the TV guide (EPG)

IPTVX imports the guide with Xtream Codes. VLC does not display a guide; Kodi does after you add your EPG link to the PVR IPTV Simple Client.
