Troubleshooting
How to Fix Marinios IPTV Buffering and Freezing
Quick answer
Most buffering is caused by the home network: weak Wi-Fi, a congested connection, or a device running low on memory. Test your speed on the streaming device, move to Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, restart the router and device, and clear the player's cache.
The problem
- The picture pauses with a loading circle
- Video freezes while audio continues
- Quality drops then recovers
- Problems are worse in the evening
Likely causes
- Wi-Fi signal too weak or on the crowded 2.4 GHz band
- Other devices using bandwidth (downloads, game updates, video calls)
- Device low on memory or storage
- Player buffer settings too small
- Internet provider congestion at peak times
- A temporary issue with a specific channel
Step-by-step fixes
Work through these in order and test after each one.
1. Check your connection on the streaming device
Run a speed test on the TV or streaming device itself (not your phone).
As a guide, aim for at least 15–25 Mbps for HD and 25+ Mbps for 4K, with stable results across several tests.
If speeds vary a lot, the network is the most likely cause.
2. Improve the home network
Use an Ethernet cable (or adapter for Firestick) where possible.
On Wi-Fi, connect to the 5 GHz network and keep the router within a clear line of sight.
Restart the router: unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
Pause large downloads and updates on other devices while streaming.
3. Refresh the device and player
Fully restart the streaming device (unplug for 30 seconds).
Clear the player app's cache (Android/Firestick: Settings → Apps → [player] → Clear cache).
Close background apps you're not using.
Update the player app to the latest version.
4. Adjust player settings
Try a different video player option in the app settings (for example, switch between the built-in and alternative decoder).
Increase the buffer size if the app offers it.
Try the same channel in a different player app to isolate the issue.
Check that it's fixed
- Play the same channel for 10 minutes.
- Try two or three other channels, including one in a different category.
- If only one channel buffers, report that channel to support.
